🍇☀️VINEYARD UPDATE🚨
The Central Valley has seen many days over 100°F (37°C) which can reduce photosynthesis and slow sugar accumulation. Growers will be continuing to irrigate the vines to get them through the heat waves. Although the heat has slightly slowed the sugar accumulation process, most varieties are on track for a normal harvest. Grape berries are losing their acidic taste and becoming sweeter as we get closer to harvest.

🚨VINEYARD UPDATE 🍇☀️
Growers will be continuing to keep a close eye on crop development. The vines have been growing rapidly with the warm temperatures and are looking strong and healthy.
Veraison has began across the Central Valley with most fields somewhere between 25% to 75% version. Berries on early ripening varieties are beginning to soften.
🚨VINEYARD UPDATE ☀️🍇
There is a one to two week period when the vineyard smells wonderful. That’s when you know bloom has arrived. Early in May the bunches bloomed and went through pollination and fertilization. Grapevines are self-pollinating so; no bees are required during this process! Shortly after bloom, berry set began in mid-May. Growers will be staying on top of their nutrition programs, keeping a close eye on disease pressures and monitoring irrigation as temperatures continue to warm.
