Trio of Date Shakes

LOW-FAT DATE SHAKE

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sun-Maid Chopped Dates
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • Directions
    COMBINE dates, banana and orange juice in a blender. Whirl until dates are nearly smooth, about 2 minutes.
    ADD yogurt and ice cubes. Blend until thick and creamy. Serve immediately.

    Makes 2, 3/4-cup servings.




    ICED DATE CAFE AU LAIT

    Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold strong coffee
  • 2 to 3 ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup Sun-Maid Chopped Dates
  • 1/2 cup half & half or milk
  • Directions
    COMBINE coffee and dates in a blender.
    Whirl until dates are nearly smooth, 1 to 2 minutes.
    ADD milk and ice cubes. Blend until creamy. Serve immediately.


    ICED DATE CHAI

    Ingredients

  • 2 spiced chai tea bags
  • 1/2 cup Sun-Maid Chopped Dates
  • 2/3 cup Milk
  • 2 to 3 ice cubes
  • Directions
    STEEP tea bags in 1-1/4 cups boiling water to make a strong brew.
    COMBINE tea and dates in a blender. Whirl until dates are nearly smooth, 1 to 2 minutes.
    ADD milk and ice cubes, then blend until creamy. Serve immediately.
