Raisin Sauce for Ham or Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sun-Maid Natural Raisins
  • 1-1/4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • Directions:
    COMBINE raisins and water and simmer for 5 minutes.
    BLEND
    together brown sugar, cornstarch and salt; stir into raisin mixture.
    COOK
    and stir until clear and slightly thickened.
    BLEND
    in vinegar and butter.
    SERVE
    hot.

    Makes 5 to 6 servings.
