Raisin Apple Puffs

Baking time: 25 minutes
- 1 small apple
- 4 tablespoons sugar divided
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Dash salt
- 1/3 cup Sun-Maid Natural Raisins
- Powdered sugar
HEAT oven to 425 F.
CUT unpeeled apple into thin slices. There should be about 1-1/2 cups of sliced apple.
PLACE apple, 2 tablespoons sugar and butter in a 9 to 10-inch wide pie dish or oven-proof skillet. (If the skillet has a plastic handle, wrap it with aluminum foil.)
BAKE for 12 minutes until apples are softened and mixture is bubbly. Hold pan with mitts to remove from oven. While apples are baking, BEAT beat eggs, milk, flour, remaining 2 tablespoons sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl using a whisk or egg beater until frothy and smooth (or whirl in a blender).
STIR raisins into apples in hot pan. Pour egg mixture into pan. Hold pan with mitts and return to oven. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until puffed and golden brown. Check after 8 to 10 minutes to watch the puff rise! (Puff will fall slightly when removed from oven.)
SLIDE a spatula around edges of pan to loosen puff. Cut into wedges.
SPRINKLE with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
