Raisin Apple Basmati Rice
Spicy Tandoori chicken or lamb kabobs are a perfect complement for this sweet and savory rice.
- 3/4 cup basmati rice
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 2 teaspoons curry powder
- 1 medium Granny Smith apple, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup Sun-Maid Natural Raisins
- 1/4 cup sliced green onion
COOK rice according to package directions omitting oil and salt.
HEAT a heavy skillet or saucepan over medium heat.
TOAST almonds shaking pan frequently until almonds are light golden brown.
