Crispy Oat Delights

For those who favor a crisp raisin oatmeal cookie, this version is sure to bring a smile.


  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup Sun-Maid Natural Raisins
  • Directions:
    HEAT oven to 350 F.
    GREASE cookie sheets.
    COMBINE butter and sugar; beat until light and fluffy.
    COMBINE flour, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves; add to butter mixture alternately with milk.
    STIR in oats and raisins.
    DROP by rounded teaspoonfuls 3 inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
    BAKE for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

    Makes 4 dozen cookies.
