French Toast


  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 to 8 slices Sun-Maid Raisin Bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
  • Directions:

    HEAT a non-stick frying pan or griddle on medium heat.
    WHISK together eggs, milk, brown sugar and vanilla in a shallow dish.
    DIP raisin bread into egg mixture one slice at a time.
    GRILL with butter if desired on the frying pan or griddle, until both sides are golden brown, about 3 minutes.

    Serve French toast topped with delicious fruit butter. Combine 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter and 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons of jam or preserves.

    Makes 6 to 8 slices of French toast.
